In brief:
- LangAgent is copyrighted software and is NOT freeware.
- You can use the trial version of LangAgent for evaluation purposes
only. You may not distribute applications created with the trial
version.
- LangAgent is royalty-free. It means that you may distribute
applications built with the commercial version of LangAgent without
additional fees.
- You can redistribute the LangAgent runtime library and LangAgent
Editor freely.

LICENSE AGREEMENT
This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement
between you,
either an individual or a single entity, ("LICENSEE")
and LastBit Software
("LICENSOR").
The license agreement includes computer software and may include
associated
media and online or electronic documentation ("SOFTWARE PRODUCT").
Please
read the following terms and conditions before installing the SOFTWARE
PRODUCT.
By installing or using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you agree to be bound
by the terms
of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do
not install or
use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
This is not free software. Subject to the terms below, you are hereby
licensed
by the LICENSOR to use this software for evaluation purposes when
running in trial
mode. If you wish to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT without any limitations
of trial mode,
a fee should be charged, whereby you will receive a software key
to enable further use.
Trial version of the software has restricted functionality.
You can use the trial version for evaluation purposes only. You
may not distribute any software
product built with the trial version.
1. GRANT OF LICENSE.
This EULA grants you a non-exclusive non-transferable right for
the SOFTWARE PRODUCT installation
and use. You may use one copy of the software only on
one computer at a time. If you have multiple licenses, you may
install the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on the same number of workstations.
Installation
on a network server solely for distribution to licensed workstations
is not
considered as an installation. You, as the LICENSEE, must have ensure
that the number of workstations where the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is installed
does not exceed the number of licenses you have bought.
2. LIMITATION ON USE.
You may not rent, lease, lend, copy, modify, sub-license or time-share
the
SOFTWARE PRODUCT. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble
or
otherwise alter the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or its documentation. You may
not use
a Registration Key Code issued to another user for use with
the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. You may use this software only for legal purposes.
3. REDISTRIBUTABLE COMPONENTS.
a. In addition to the rights granted in Section 1, LICENSOR grants
you a
nonexclusive royalty-free right to reproduce and distribute the
LangAgent
Run-time library (LARTL.dll, LARTLu.dll) and/or LangAgent Editor
(LAEDIT.EXE),
provided you comply with Sections 3.b and 3.c.
b. Redistribution Requirements for the LangAgent Run-time library
distribution. If
you redistribute the LangAgent Run-time library you agree to: (i)
distribute the
LangAgent Run-time library without any modification only in conjunction
with
and as a part of a software application product developed by you;
(ii) include a
valid copyright notice in your software product ; (iii) indemnify,
hold harmless,
and defend LICENSOR from and against any claims or lawsuits, including
attorney's fees, that arise or result from the
use or distribution of your software
application product.
c. Redistribution Requirements for LangAgent Editor. If you redistribute
the
LangAgent Editor, you agree to distribute the LangAgent Editor
without any modification.
4. SEPARATION OF COMPONENTS
The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed as a single product. Its component
parts may
not be separated for use on more than one computer or with other
applications
except for redistributable components described in Section 3
5. Termination
Without prejudice to any other rights, the LICENSOR may terminate
this EULA
if the LICENSEE fails to comply with the terms and conditions of
this EULA.
In such event, the LICENSEE must destroy all copies of the SOFTWARE
PRODUCT
and all of its component parts.
6. OWNERSHIP.
You agree that the SOFTWARE PRODUCT belongs to the LICENSOR. This
license
is not a sale of the original or any subsequent copy.
7. NO WARRANTIES.
LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH REGARD TO THE SOFTWARE
PRODUCT.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR OR RESELLERS BE LIABLE IN
CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL,
INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCLUDING, BUT
NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR USE, WHETHER IN AN
ACTION FOR CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF
THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. LICENSOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY
ARISING OUT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE
GREATER OF THE LICENSE FEES PAID BY YOU HEREUNDER, OR U.S.$5.
